Schwartz Architects / GF55
DGA recently completed work on the new Kalahari mixed use development located on 116th Street in Harlem. This condominium / low-income rental / retail project is the beneficiary of a design inspired by the cultural traditions of Africa. Working in close collaboration with Schwartz Architects and Jack Travis, Architect, DGA developed architecturally responsive lighting solutions for the main public lobby, typical public corridors, elevator lobbies, and internal landscape courtyards. The exterior lighting approach is inspired by Kente cloth.
