Project Scope

Our firm completed work in 2000 on an 8-year effort providing Lighting Design services in connection with the $28.5 million modernization and restoration of this 1935 landmark Neo-Classical station by McKim Mead & White. Our scope of work included the relighting of public concourse areas, bridges, main waiting room, outdoor bus lanes, rail platform access stairs, public rest rooms, customer service facilities, ticketing offices and floodlighting of historic exterior facades. Our efforts in the main waiting rooms and public concourse areas focused on the upgrading of lighting levels along with the refurbishment of historic luminaires with current energy efficient technologies
