Project Scope

In 2009, DGA began work on a new building for the Heschel School, a Jewish day school on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. 

 

Completed in 2013, the 9-story, $100 million, 142,000 sq. ft. building includes an early childhood center, lower school (elementary), and middle school. 

 

DGA’s scope of work included the development of sustainable, cost effective architectural lighting solutions for spaces including classrooms, offices, corridors, nursery, theatre, 2 gyms, kitchen, main entry lobby, grand stair, art rooms, music room, science labs, Judaic study room, computer room, dining area, library, nurse, store, indoor play area, rooftop playground, and green roof system.  This was designed to achieve LEED Gold Certification.
