Project Scope

This 5000,000 sq.ft., $4.3 billion project is the culmination of 30 years of planning to bring the LIRR rail access into (under) Grand Central Station. The largest single project ever undertaken by the LIRR, it is scheduled for completion in 2017. DGA developed the lighting design for all public areas including the main retail concourse (over 250,000 sq.ft.), ticketing areas, connecting passageways and mezzanine, as well as four 1000' long platforms located well below Grand Central's existing tracks.
