Project Scope

Our firm completed work in 2010 on a $133 million, 13-year effort to upgrade and rehabilitate the Atlantic Avenue Station Subway/ LIRR Complex. Our scope of work included the lighting of the IRT, BMT and IND platforms, stairs, passageways, mezzanines, escalators, entrances and public art installations, as well as the LIRR platforms and waiting areas in accordance with the latest edition of the New York City Transit Authority Station Planning and Design Guidelines. Pivotal to the project were the historic preservation of the original headhouse / kiosk and the lighting of the new station headhouse.
