Project Scope

Our firm completed work in 2005 on the six-year effort to upgrade and rehabilitate the 72nd Street Station. DGA provided new lighting for the platforms, stairs, control areas, new headhouse and new plaza street entrances in accordance with the latest edition of the New York City Transit Authority Station Planning and Design Guidelines. Our efforts also included the development of lighting strategies for the lighting of the historic head house (original architect Heins & LaFarge) as well as the recreation and refurbishment of historic exterior platform luminaires.
