Arts for Transit at Columbus Circle Station

    An important part of our work on the Columbus Circle / 59th St. Station has been our collaboration with Dattner Architects and MTA Arts for Transit to support several public art installations. Wallwashing (using NYCT-standard equipment) brings the colorful 53x11 feet mural "Whirls and Twirls" by artist Sol LeWit to life. At central locations throughout the complex virtual sculptures created with standard lighting equipment complement architectural features and enhance wayfinding.
